Candidate Application
For application as a Candidate, LPPANS has partnered with professional planning regulatory bodies across the country to for the Professional Standards Board. This organization manages the candidate application process on behalf of LPPANS, as well as the administration of exams to obtain your full licensed membership. Full details on the process are available on the PSB website. When accepted as a candidate, you will be assessed a yearly membership fee by LPPANS (below). There are no additional application fees charged directly by LPPANS.

Ongoing Membership Fees
Fees are collected by the Atlantic Planners Institute on behalf of LPPANS and the other Atlantic Canada professional planning organizations. Annual membership fees for LPPANS members for 2022:
Candidate or Full Member (LPP/MCIP):
- LPPANS/API fee: $282 + HST
- CIP fee: $222.43 + HST
- PLI: $44
Pre-Candidate:
- LPPANS/API fee: $282 + HST
- CIP fee: $222.43 + HST
Student:
- LPPANS/API fee: $35 + HST
Retired:
- LPPANS/API fee: $60 + HST
- CIP fee: $75 + HST
Non-Practicing:
- LPPANS/API fee: $70 + HST
- CIP fee: $75 + HST
- PLI: $44 (only required for if non-practing status extends past one year)
Public Associate
- $75 + HST
